Answer "why?" with a particular "what," whatever that might be. It's the only way to put one step after (or before) the next.
Am watching R.R.*, who in the 1950's did it himself: image on screen made simply, cheaply, meant-as-is.
And let me be clear with myself: this use of technology is not meant to shore up progress or safety or sanity or aesthetics or morality, and certainly no standard of good art, or even art itself. It's a board to set myself adrift on.
And not to hold out, but invite on. Though I cannot predict who will come on this trip. This technology will eventually sink. I have little to say I'm accomplishing; it leaves me with little to say.
