I've been reading Bob Dylan's autobiography, Chronicles I.
Dylan describes himself landing from the Midwest in New York City in the early 1960's, barely twenty years old, with "a mind as sharp as a trap." He tore, spliced and diced melody and image. He was emotionally fluent, the mouth of a shark, dangerously articulate. My response is - my mind spills out foggy as the sound, my body is a boat knocking against the dock, and my heart is gushing as an ocean.
